This is our 4 month report on Dirk. Weekly obedience classes continue until the end of this month, and Dirk is doing very well, especially in the classroom! It helps that he is so food oriented. I wonder if he had obedience training previously.

His self-confidence improves consistently. Our daughters, who see him every few weeks, have both commented on how much more outgoing he is. There is noticeably more tail-wagging. He seems more sociable with other dogs, but continutes to be reserved.

He sleeps on his bed in our bedroom, and tries to climb up on our very high bed each morning. We almost always have to help him up, although at other times of the day he is perfectly capable of jumping up on it by himself.

Wow, it has already been a year!

What a fun year it has been. We’ve been keeping that little string bean going all year and he still has tons of energy in his reserve tank. Over the past year we’ve been hiking, swimming, playing in the snow and chilling on the beach along with so much more. He is awesome! Rocky and Cosmo are the best of friends!!!! Cosmo will go anywhere and everywhere Rocky goes. Because of Cosmo’s energy, Rocky has actually lost 10 lbs chasing the little guy around, which is awesome for Rocky’s hips and my vet is pumped!!

Cosmo is up to a whopping 66 lbs and everything is going great.
