Casey Update
Casey is doing fabulous. We’ve had 2 beginner obedience classes so far, and he’s doing well. Of course, he’ll need a lot more work to really cement those skills, and he still gets over-excited when we first arrive, but he does learn fast. Mostly he doesn’t understand why he can’t just run around and play with the other dogs the whole time.
He and Stella (his doggie sister) have been enjoying lots of romping and playing. She loves Casey, and he is much more fun to chase around the park than I am! Casey has also had some fun visits to the big field in Westborough, so he can run like crazy and play with other dogs.
Of course, he still does silly things like fetch my laundry out of the hamper, or his blanket out of his crate, but he always gives them right to me. His health is fine, and his hips don’t seem to give him any trouble. We’re making Thanksgiving pies today, so there will be some delicious apple slices for the dogs. We love him lots, and he is definitely home for good!
