Just checking in and wanted to let you know how lucky we are to have Baxter as part of our family! We have only had him for one week - but it has been a WONDERFUL week. I feel like Baxter has been with us forever. It is great to once again see dog hair on the furniture and dribbles of water splattered on the floor!

We know he is feeling at home with us because Baxter is already sleeping on the couch and drinking out of the toilet bowl! In all seriousness, he has done just fine. He is eating well, gets along wonderfully with the cat, does “leaps” in the front hall when I get home from work and is great on a leash. We walk at least 1-2 miles each evening at suppertime. Baxter just loves my 17-year old son and they are already best buddies. We really were blessed with a great dog with a great disposition and we just love him!

Baxter will be going to the vet on Friday for his first check-up. I do not anticipate any problems at all. I just can’t wait to show him off. We will send documentation of his visit with all the other necessary paperwork.

We will continue to keep you updated. Please extend our special thanks to Donna who was Baxter’s foster Mom. She did a great job evaluating him and providing him with a wonderful home until our adoption was finalized. Thanks again.

P.S. Baxter also says “Woof woof”. That translates to “thank you”!
