Angie and Woodford Update

By: volunteer @ 9:09 am

Angie and Woodford are doing well! Woodford celebrated his 13th birthday in August at the beach with a steak dinner (that was a big-time treat! it was takeout from a restaurant). He got lots of attention and love. Angie couldn’t be left out so she got her own dinner too.

We had a big scare with Woodford in September as he had unexpected surgery for a hole in his stomach. It was absolutely awful, but through the process, we learned what an amazing and strong trooper he is. He is back on his feet, back to his usual walks, and slowly gaining back his weight. He is enjoying the more frequent meals. He astounded the vet at Tufts - one day post-surgery - he almost took her finger off going for the meatball she was offering him to see if he might be at all interested in food. That’s our guy!

As shown in the picture, Angie is enjoying her back rolls, especially in the snow from the other day and the leaves that are falling. She’s a funny girl.

We are blessed by both of them!

Thanks!

Cooper - 4 Month Update

By: volunteer @ 7:54 am

Cooper is doing great! He just began his next round of Obedience Training. He still gets overly excited when he sees other dogs, so we’re going to continue to work on that. He’s also going to be attending doggie day camp once a week for socialization. With each passing day he seems to be more relaxed and comfortable in displaying his true personality. His playfulness is starting to show. He initially never played with any toys and now he’s starting to initiate games with us and plays with his toys quite frequently. His stubborn side has also been on full display when we go for walks. He loves playing with his fellow labby friends - Joe & Buddy (Cooper’s on the right).

He’s the joy of our lives!

Sadie - 1 Year Update

By: volunteer @ 7:45 am

It’s been a year and Sadie is doing just great. She loves her walks in the woods.
She is a wonderful member of our family. Thanks so much!
