At the four week mark, Lekoda is very happy. She goes out a lot in our cars, gets 2 one-hour walks in conservation land every day, and sleeps the rest of the time. A few tummy upsets as we tried different biscuits, but nothing to worry about. She loves her new friends Max and Maddie and Chico . There are two little girls nearby who beg to go along on the walks and she’s always agreeable with them. She loves to go to places with new smells — this week we walked the boardwalk in a nearby park and she was fascinated with the swamp smells.

As you can see from the attached, she is not afraid of a little bog walking!

Lekoda is doing WONDERFULLY, really settling in, very sweet, and she seems to be quite relaxed and happy. She has no “terrors” at all now, not even when it is raining. She and the cat get along fine, and she has settled in to her new “pack” (the two dogs of our best friend, with whom she walks regularly at a big farm near us) very well. The three dogs groom each other, and sleep in a pig pile after long walks! She eats and sleeps well, and really seems to enjoy our daily long walks in the woods. She is happy and we think she’s the perfect dog for us!
